Administered the network operations for Specialty Books,
Inc., a division of the Nebraska Book Company.

Designed and maintained the physical network that serves
over eighty employees on site.

the hiring process.

servers were used by the shipping department to run
UPS and FedEX shipping software.

Managed and maintained the Nebraska Book Company's
proprietary Unix based Inventory Control System and
Accounting System called PRISM. This system provide
departments the ability to place phone orders manually
and to manage inventory databases for each account.
PRISM also processes all the accounting information
needed to run a large company.

Set up and maintained sixty individually customized
internet store fronts for our clients. Each client has
at least one store front that allows students to order
all their books for their current courses 24 hours a
day.

Handled the installation of the Interchange system.
Interchange is a very powerful internet commerce solution
that is open source and free. Interchange has been customized
to interface with our PRISM system to streamline the
order process.

Worked with the network
administrator of Ohio University in maintaining the accounts
database for the Unix based SEORF project. This involved
maintaining an SQL database with user information that
was used to generate trend reports and keeping a database
with a Perl web based API. Logging all customer calls
and their solutions helped us work with users to troubleshoot
computer problems related to using SEORF. |

of ACEnet's public computer lab. Instructed students in
various areas of computer usage; including Microsoft Office
applications, using the internet, Windows, Linux, and
computer hardware. Wrote press releases for local newspapers
outlining developments in ACEnet's CTC. |
